During my time in massage school I was exposed to a number of different modalities and got curious about this device, long before I took a brief module on the cranial-sacral method.
I was hesitant to make this purchase, because a few clients were urged to use this by their chiropractors, and felt disappointed. Their reviews were dismal.
Despite this kind of review I decided to try the device, and I had a similar experience at first. It felt like nothing special, but after a few minutes I realized that the power of the traction is very, gently, effective in utilizing gravity, to stretch the muscles and bones in the neck. So the only pull, is the weight of one's own head, held immobilized, in a very gentle stretch. And so the effect is quite liberating afterwards. You just have to force yourself to be a bit patient , to give it enough time to take effect, to feel the difference. I think of it in terms of baking. There's a certain amount of time that needs to be allowed for the optimal result.
