Still point inducers are supposed to have a variety of health benefits related to illnesses or conditions that are caused by head/neck alignment issues. Supposedly, by propping up the head in a more natural position with limited body contact, it relieves pressure on the neck and stimulates bloodflow. This in turn can alleviate arthritic neck conditions, headaches caused by poor posture, etc.
However, this device didn't really do any of that for me. In retrospect, looking at the device, I guess there's no reason I would think that it would. I bought it to help me relax my neck which can get stiff sometimes. Honestly, it doesn't do much but act as a prop for my head when lying on a hard surface.
The device is not without merits however. The material is firm enough to support your head but it does give way with enough weight (so its soft enough not to hurt your head). Further, it's mildly relaxing to just rest your head on it. Also, I've found that I can use it in conjunction with a Spine-Worx or lumbar stretcher to support my head instead of using a pillow. However, for my neck tension, I find a Dr. Riter's Real-Ease far more relieving. Hope that helps!
