When you rub it in yours hands, the heat from your hands soften it and looks oily then you can rub it on your skin or put it in your hair. It is 1000% better than vaseline. That goopy chemical is horrible for skin. Shea butter doesn't clog your pores. I have very sensitive skin and I would break out using vaseline. Shea butter is natural and good for you. Instead of putting grease in your hair, use the shea butter. It moisturizes the scalp and hair but doesn't clog the scalp pores. Your skin absorbs it and you look shiny for a few minutes but the shiny, oily look goes away and you're left with a nice soft glow to the skin. it smells like nut butter (which is exactly what it is) but after a few minutes that smell goes away and a nice light scent is left on your skin.
